Course Curriculum
In this session. participants will learn the importance and intricacies of the hospital revenue cycle. The session will cover scheduling through final claim payment and the proper operation of the revenue cycle.

Learning Objectives:
At the conclusion of this session, participants should be able to:
• Define effective ways to prevent work denials.
• Describe how to partner with clinical leaders to improve the revenue cycle.
• Discuss establishing and tracking key performance indicators across three phases of the revenue cycle: pre-service, encounter and the back end.
• Explain compliance processes for no surprise billing and good faith estimate requirements.

Speaker Bios:
Kathy Reep has more than 30 years of health care leadership experience. Reep’s hospital expertise is in compliance, financial advisory, reimbursement and managed care. She has helped clients with Medicare, Medicaid, workers’ compensation and reimbursement.
Martie Ross is a health care transactional and regulatory attorney. Ross advises providers navigating health care regulations. Her expertise is in health systems, hospitals, integrated networks and physician groups. Ross synthesizes complex regulatory schemes, explains in straightforward terms their impact on providers, identifies opportunities and develops realistic plans.
