USP 800: What is It and What Does It Mean for My Facility?
The United States Pharmacopeia (USP) is a compendium for drug information that sets the standards for drugs in the United States. USP Chapter 800, Hazardous Drugs-Handling in the Healthcare Setting, specifically addresses the safe handling of hazardous drugs to promote patient and worker safety as well as environmental protection.
