This conference will provide the nurse with the total picture of what it’s like for the patients they care for who travel life’s road living with an ostomy. Included will be the treatment of colon cancer; management of ostomies/fistulus; helping the patient and family deal with all the pyschological aspects when newly diagnosed, as well as the resources available as they are transitioning along their road. Participants will get a chance for hands-on practice with the latest pouching products and managing common complications and lastly be inspired by a group of Ostomates living their life on this road.
