The Nebraska Hospital Association (NHA) Advocacy team created the Advocacy Institute to help Nebraska hospital and health care leaders develop a strong understanding of advocacy, the legislative process, and the tools needed to be successful advocates.
Our goal is to empower you to share your voice with policymakers. When policymakers have the facts and understand how their decisions affect your hospital, patients, staff, and community, we are more likely to achieve positive outcomes.
Advocacy is essential to securing a strong future for Nebraska hospitals and the communities they serve. The time is now to engage in advocacy efforts.
Who Should Attend?
This program is designed for hospital leaders, emerging leaders, and graduates of the NHA Leadership Institute. It is also open to any hospital employee who is interested in becoming more engaged in advocacy and learning how to make their voice heard.
What Will You Gain?
By participating in the Advocacy Institute, you will develop a strong understanding of the advocacy process and learn practical strategies to effectively engage with policymakers. You will gain the skills to communicate with state and federal leaders, share impactful stories about your hospital and patients, and help influence legislative decisions that affect health care in Nebraska.
