The Shared Clinical Model turns experienced RNs into Certified Clinical Practice Instructors (CPIs) through an accelerated pathway designed to strengthen rural health care. Supported by direct mentorship from MSN faculty, RNs take the lead in educating ADN, PN, and BSN students through care planning and evaluation.
To ensure the model's success, the program provides comprehensive financial support for instructors and students including stipends for courses and educational materials, plus mileage and housing assistance for students in rural placements. The program also provides hourly wage coverage for instructors, mentorship stipends, and participation incentive fees for both hospitals and academic institutions.
By removing financial barriers and providing expert guidance, this model builds a sustainable pipeline of nursing talent for rural communities.
