Submit Feedback on Sweeping Changes in 340B Reform Bill

Deadline: August 28, 2026

U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA), Chairman of the Senate HELP Committee, has released a legislative discussion draft for the 340B for Patients Act. Because 340B savings are critical for Nebraska’s hospitals and health systems, particularly for the financial stability of our rural and critical access facilities, it is essential that our members submit feedback to ensure Nebraska's voice is heard.

According to Senator Cassidy, the bill would prevent waste, fraud, and abuse by bad actors, ensure the program is benefiting low-income and uninsured patients, provide crucial regulatory clarity, and fix program operations to put it on a sustainable path to lower health care costs for all Americans. However, while this discussion draft is still under review, we note that there are extensive revisions to hospital eligibility, contract pharmacy arrangements, program oversight, reporting requirements, and other key components of the 340B program. Many of the proposed changes could have significant implications for Nebraska hospitals and the patients and communities they serve.

Use the Full Legislative Discussion Draft, Section-by-Section Summary, and Committee One-Pager for help drafting your response.
