Hospitals are often faced with situations involving individuals who were not born in the United States and may hold status other than that of a U.S. citizen. With a basic understanding of the current U.S. immigration system, hospitals can significantly reduce or completely eliminate the exposure associated with discrimination and better understand their employees, potential employees, and patients.
