The Centers for Medicaid and Medicare Services believes each provider should think in broader terms than their own facility, and plan for how they would serve similar and other health care facilities, as well as the whole community during an emergency event. Climate change and extremes of temperatures have added to the challenge of meeting the health care needs of any community.
