As payors decrease payments or increase medical documentation requirements, providers are compelled to capture all of the funds they are due. Managing Denials is increasingly becoming more important to health care. In most organizations, managing denials is either not done, or is not a defined process. A defined denial management program allows the organization to recognize coding and billing errors, to recognize inadequate documentation, to ensure deadline compliance, and to regain “lost” revenue.

During this session, Jean Ann will assist in developing a defined denial management program; including strategies for identifying, managing, monitoring and preventing future denials.
