Health systems and hospitals continue to evaluate and identify needs and opportunities to integrate with other, third parties. The process of identifying, selecting and closing an affiliation with a third party is not a “one‐size fits all” proposition. In addition to federal laws that govern the details of an affiliation, state laws may also affect the process by which a health system or hospital may consummate a new affiliation (or unwind and older one). This session will provide the participant with specific detail and action items to assist in the affiliation process.
