Legal Perspectives on Hospital Transactions and Affiliations
Health systems and hospitals continue to evaluate and identify needs and opportunities to integrate with other, third parties. The process of identifying, selecting and closing an affiliation with a third party is not a “one‐size fits all” proposition. In addition to federal laws that govern the details of an affiliation, state laws may also affect the process by which a health system or hospital may consummate a new affiliation (or unwind an older one). This Session will provide the participant with specific detail and action items to assist in the affiliation process.
