Course Curriculum
In this session, participants will learn how the Medicare cost report can be used as a data source for calculating statistical, operating and financial metrics. The session also will identify cost-report data points for analytics, show sample calculations and explore why results from cost-report data may be different from other reported metrics. The session also will discuss how metrics analysis can be used as part of operational and strategic decisions.

Speaker Bios:
Mike Nichols is a leader in the health care reimbursement space, working with national health systems and international accounting and audit firms. A certified public accountant, Nichols’ expertise is in audit support, net patient revenue leadership and Medicare and Medicaid cost reporting.
