Course Curriculum
At times, board members have to have difficult conversations – this is especially true for hospital trustees who oversee the health care provided to the community. In this session we will discuss best practices, common pitfalls and actions toward building a healthy dialogue in your board room. Learn how to enhance board meeting efficiencies and strategic decision-making processes.

Speaker Bio:
Amy Eskew, President and CEO, Texas Healthcare Trustees, Austin and Senior Director of Strategic Program Management, Texas Hospital Association, Austin
Amy Eskew serves as the president/CEO of Texas Healthcare Trustees (THT) and vice president of strategic program management for the Texas Hospital Association Foundation (THAF). In her work she educates board members on health care trends and governance best practices. Amy also directs internal performance improvement efforts for the Texas Hospital Association and its family of companies.
Amy has been with THT since 2012 and has more than 16 years of experience working with health care-related non-profit organizations. She is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, received her Master of Public Affairs from the LBJ School of Public Affairs at UT and is an ASQ-certified Six Sigma Black Belt.
